Profile Summary

I am senior management professional with twenty-five years of work experience.  During my career, I have handled quality assurance, key account management and profit-centre head functions. I started my career in 1995 as a food safety manager at AVT McCormick Ingredients Limited, a spice processor and after that graduated to the role of head of quality at then Indian’s largest pest management company, Pest Control India Private Limited (PCI) in 2000. At PCI, I also started their Field Extension and Education (FEE) Unit for evaluating agricultural inputs and was Key Account Manager for the company’s national accounts.  I headed the services segs of PCI for two years and planned the growth of the business with a focus on the residential segment. In my third assignment, I joined National Bulk Handling Corporation Private Limited (NBHC) in 2007 to establish their pest management services business, branded Pestinct.  Pestinct is currently, India’s third-largest pest control operator (PCO) and is a leading service provider in multiple customer segments. My current role beginning 2020 is as Mentor to PECOPP Pest Control Services Private Limited, a fifty-year-old company and among leading PCOs at Mumbai region. My domain knowledge is from pest control services and that industry. I have expertise in sales, marketing, digital marketing, account management, service quality, enterprise software and profit-centre management.

Achievements

National Bulk Handling Corporation Private Limited (NBHC):

  • Established Pestinct business unit for Pest Management Services in 2007. 
  • Recruited team and established 47 offices across India and achieved breakeven and profitability in 3 years. 
  • Developed systems and processes for pest management services and implemented ERP software for managing the business. 
  • Managed key accounts in food processing, commodity trade and retailing.  Achieved industry leadership in commodity fumigation, food retailing and storage and logistics segment. 
  • Grew the business to make Pestinct the third-largest player in the industry.

 

Pest Control India Private Limited (PCI):

  • Lead company’s Gas Filling Unit to ISO 9001 registration in 2001
  • Established Field Extension & Education (FEE) Unit to evaluate bio-control products and agricultural inputs and educating users on methods for field application at varying agro-geographic zones in south India.
  • As Key Accounts Manager, developed systems for business with key accounts and increased sales and profits from such accounts, established PCI as the first choice for nation-wide services.
  • Established a system for internal quality audits and branch ranking and developed performance evaluation system.

 

AVT McCormick Ingredients Limited:

  • Developed food safety program including HACCP plan, employee training and facility audit system. 
  • Established country’s largest pheromone trap monitoring program for stored insect pests at warehouses. 
  • Achieved compliance to American Institute of Baking (AIB) Consolidated Standards of Food Safety and certification to McCormick Global Sourcing Vendor Certification (VC) Program.
  • Achieved ISO 9001:2000 certification of AVT McCormick Ingredients Limited
